Professional Supervision
Navigating life from a super visioned perspective
In our 21st Century, we find that our job and identity are linked. How we see our work can impact how we see ourselves. Our own perceptions about this alignment can affect our work, which in turn affects our sense of value. Country Community provides professional supervision for people who are tackling areas regarding life and profession.
What is Professional Supervision?
In essence, “Professional Supervision” is described perfectly. It is super-vision, an enlarged vision, or a higher perspective regarding this relationship between you and your profession. However, professional supervision is unlike line management, where one closely examines processes (we could call that micro-vision). Professional supervision focuses on you and your work. Professional supervision is a journey to discover the best you, and in doing so, be the best at what you do.
To start our journey, let us start by explaining what supervision is about. Supervision involves two professionals (a supervisor and supervisee) who engage in a collaborative process intending to create better practices and positive work outcomes for the supervisee. The role of a supervisor is to support you professionally. It is a contracted arrangement to engage with current work roles. In this space, Supervisors help to explore your current situations from a broader perspective. The purpose of this reflection is to create space in which to discover possibilities for personal and professional growth. The supervisor provides a space to ensure the supervisee is responsible for their work’s personal and professional standards.
