Projects & Programs

The power and importance of “community” cannot be underestimated.  Throughout Queensland and the Northern Territory, a network of people is available to help others. Our Country Community program is designed to strengthen this network to provide stronger support.

In 2024, we will provide “Professional Supervision” to assist people in their daily work. This program will provide a macro vision of “what I do” and align it with “who I am” in the context of everyday work.

The Marriage Toolbox, like any toolbox, provides support for marriages. There is many aspects of relationships that can be easy to work through if we have the right tools. After all you can use a drill as a hammer… but not for very long, and it’s not really practical. A microwave is “like” an oven but cannot produce the same result.

The marriage toolbox reveals the right “tools” for your marriage to work properly. We deal with some of the basics like “communication.” This course is really active, its not just lessons or lectures. You and your partner get to implement what you learn in the program. There is homework but no group sharing.

Our Outback Chaplain is available for people seeking counsel and peer support.  Whether you need a listening ear, someone to talk to, or even spiritual guidance. Our Outback Chaplaincy program is available to every person in Australia. We provide a safe space to get advice from another person; no topic is out-of-bounds.

Greg  is an ordained minister with the Australian Christian Churches. He has the training and the experience to perform weddings, funerals, and baby dedications. With more than three decades of experience, your essential moments will be positive memories that you will not forget.

Part of what we do is to help people struggling emotionally and financially. We have some supporters who specifically invest themselves in assisting people “trapped” by circumstance. Our 24OX program links those who can help with those who need help. Our first priority is to help Australians, but we also extend 24OX to international projects as well.

There are many circumstances where we become vulnerable:

  • Survivors of abuse or child trauma
  • Financial hardship
  • Lack of resources because of geography or race
  • Historically disadvantaged (lack of education, social inclusion etc)
  • Issues arising from becoming older, or living with a disability.

24OX is available to these people. You may want to join in assisting others. Your support would be welcome.

ABC4ME equips high school-aged children through
“Adventure-Based Courses.” The program was developed by a team of people for teenagers in rural Australia. It is adventure-based because it uses tactile learning for high schoolers to learn through experience. The course can be adapted to fit specific topics or issues that the school may be trying to address.

We can provide the courses through half-day, one-day, two-day programs, and camps. The programs can be adapted from general issues to group-specific needs. The activities can work with a minimum of 6 and (with some help) up to 60. The programs are fun and impactful. We have over three decades of running these programs. These cross-cultural courses have been utilised in the UK, Asia, and Australia. These courses are self-funded and can be shaped to the resources available to the school. Once teachers understand the model, many have initiated ABC into their own style.

Outlines of the curriculum are available on request. Thank you for being patient while we still post the program details online (coming soon).
